The organizers of the upcoming World Expo offered a preview taste of four stage shows dedicated to visitors - theme show "Windows of the City", stage show CHA, China National Song & Dance Ensemble performances and Shaolin martial arts show.
The China National Song & Dance Ensemble has prepared two music and dance galas for Expo visitors. The shows will be daily on weekdays from April 30 to October 31 at the Culture Center. Each will last 90 minutes.
One performance will feature mostly Chinese folk music and dances. The other will feature foreign folk arts, such as classic dances of Northern India, Irish tap dances, and Arabic dances.

The thematic show "Windows of the City" will be closely linked to the theme of "City," representing the city's facts, showing colorful urban life and stimulating audience's endless imagination. "Windows of the City" tells a story of love and harmony with music and dance.
It will be staged at Zone C02 of the Houtan Square within the Pudong section of the Expo site. "Windows of the City" is a joint production of Shanghai Media & Entertainment Group and Taipei Arts International Association.

CHA integrates martial arts, magic, stunts, dancing and other art forms, representing Chinese traditional tea culture in an artistic way.
Four shows will be staged daily during May and June, each lasting 45 minutes.

The Shaolin martial arts show is an original performance designed for the Expo. Four shows will be staged daily from July to August, each for 45 minutes.
The kung fu gala aims to present the aesthetic and philosophical values of monks of Shaolin Temple through an innovative stage performance that combines Shaolin kung fu and modern dancing.
The mix of martial arts, acrobatics, dancing and magic tricks helps create special visual effects.
